CMS grants HIP 1.0 an extension for 2015, HIP 2.0 still in review

Indiana has announced the approval of the waiver submitted to the federal government to extend the current Healthy Indiana Plan program. This request was made as a contingency plan to ensure the continuation of the program and of health coverage for the program’s current members into 2015 in case HIP 2.0 is not approved by the end of the year. The program was approved for 2015 in its current form, and members will not experience a gap in coverage or a change in benefits.

Indiana FSSA continues to push for approval of HIP 2.0 and will update you as soon as we have anything to announce in that regard.
