Today, thousands of hardworking Hoosiers are unable to afford health care. Even given the choice through their employer’s coverage, many simply can’t afford it. HIP Link puts health care within reach for those who are forced to opt out due to cost.
In order to participate, an employer register their health plans and then eligible employees are able to sign up with the state. Once the employee is registered, the employer will deduct the premium from their pay like normal, but the State will compensate the employee directly for their premium minus a small contribution.
