📚We learned a lot yesterday, and there's more to come from the INsure Health and Benefits Expo! An #Ethics CE is coming up Friday. Our instructional partners have asked for a pre-registration list to help speed up their accounting. Pre-register at bit.ly/30wsZkA.

How are you?

I, for one, am just OK. Not good, not bad, just OK.  As a self-proclaimed “extreme extrovert”, COVID has been really hard on me.  And not just because I have school aged kids, but believe me, much sleep has been lost in my household with all of the decisions we have had to make.  Let’s just say that I am VERY thankful that my 3rd and 5th grade girls are back in school, in person!  We are very blessed that we have our health, a roof over our heads, jobs, etc…. but at the end of the day, I JUST MISS SEEING PEOPLE!  Plus, I have had a serious case of “mascne”… that is mask acne, in case you are wondering.

Anyway, I just wanted to check in with you.  If you are NOT ok, please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you.  In fact, did you know that NAHU has created a COVID relief fund?

The NAHU COVID-19 Relief Fund has been created to provide financial support to NAHU members and their families that have been most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Financial support could provide monetary assistance with out of pocket medical expenses, unanticipated funeral expenses, or other special circumstance COVID-19 related expenses for members in good standing and their legal dependents.

If you or fellow member has been impacted and you would like to apply for assistance, please click here. If you are in a position to make a contribution to help support your fellow NAHU member, we ask that you please donate here. These contributions are tax-deductible.

In addition to the COVID relief fund, the NAHU Unite Program has been created to help members throughout the country who have been effected by natural disasters.  Please contact me directly if you have any questions on this or know someone who would be a good candidate to receive financial assistance.

I wanted to also talk about the VALUE OF YOUR NAHU MEMBERSHIP.

When asked why former members leave the Association, the typical response (aside from leaving the industry or their employer won’t pay for their membership any longer) is they didn’t see the value.  Well, I want to make sure you all understand just how valuable your membership is.

Your (all volunteer) state and local leaders put in countless hours trying to create relevant and helpful opportunities for you.  Our lobby firm works hard every day on your behalf.   Our HUPAC and ISAHU PAC chairs are diligent and thoughtful about who we support.  Our Legislative Council works hard behind the scenes, along with our Lobby firm to make sure key issues are addressed!  Networking, education, credibility, industry news, compliance, and so much more… Shall I go on???

Did you know there are members-only discounts on products to help your business?  Click here for more info!

As always, we appreciate your ideas and feedback!  Please do not hesitate to reach out with any ideas for speakers, meetings, or just to say hi!
