It looked nothing like what we originally had planned, and I can’t say that there were no glitches, but overall, the virtual INsure Expo was a success!
We missed seeing everyone in person and hope to do so soon. But, with the current unknown COVID world we are living in, we are happy to have planned and executed our first ever virtual Expo. Thank you so much for everyone’s participation and patience.
As you all know, ISAHU’s main focus is to provide valuable resources to our members. Our first priority is to raise funds in order for us to retain a respected and active Lobbyist, to serve our membership. This event was able to provide you all with those precious CE credits, educate our members and make some profit, in order to support our lobby fees!
First and foremost, sponsors. These events would not be possible without the support from our sponsors. Please click here to check out a list of all of the sponsors who participated in this year’s Expo.
Corporate Partner: Humana
Premier Event Sponsors: UHC & Star Benefits.
I know there is “no crying in health underwriters” but I get teary eyed every time I think of all of the team members who made this event happen.
Special thank you to:
Justin Harter (ISAHU’s administrator) and his team worked behind the scenes, around the clock, to help execute our first virtual event. I don’t think they realized what they signed up for!
Nicole Fairbairn. If you have attended an ISAHU event in the last 15+ years, you probably already know that Nicole had a major part of it’s success. She is an invaluable resource to ISAHU and me, personally.
Pam Evans. Star Benefit Associates is a KEY supporter of ISAHU, but Pam was instrumental on the committee, primarily creating a sub-committee which carefully thought out and curated the CE classes.
Jessica Clayton. The CE filing GURU of Indiana. Jessica was instrumental in making sure all of the ISAHU CE classes were filed, approved and proper credits issued!
Carolyn Beck. Thank you so much for jumping in at the last minute and planning the awards ceremony!
Susan Rider. As our State Leg Chair and candidate for NAHU Secretary, we are always lucky to have Susan head up coordinating our legislative guests, for the very timely and relevant updates they provide.
To everyone else… Tom Leix, Cindy Trahin, Mike Miles, Jennifer Revell, Brian Beall, Lisa Frazetta-Manning, Dan Ealy – your feedback and willingness to jump in wherever needed is greatly appreciated!
SO WHAT’S NEXT?
The committee held our “post-event meeting” and unanimously decided that we will plan on going back to an in-person event in 2022. We hope to have a virtual component available, but hopefully we will all be together again next spring!
As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions!
