ISAHU PAC contributed to 18 Indiana House and Senate candidates in this year’s election and all of them were successful in their bid for election or re-election.
Republicans won every statewide race on the ballot a sign that Indiana is Trump country. The Republicans will continue to have a supermajority in both Chambers in the 121st General Assembly which is a budget year. The Democrats did narrow the margin of supermajority by picking up three seats in the House and one in the Senate.
There are 16 new faces in the House and 5 new faces in the Senate. The House Republican Caucus re-elected Representative Brian Bosma (R-Indianapolis) to his historic sixth term as Speaker of the House and elected Senator Rodric Bray (R-Martinsville) to his first term as President Pro Tem. Both of these leaders are familiar with the Indiana Association of Health Underwriters. Senator Eric Bassler (R- Washington) will chair the Senate Insurance and Financial Institutions Committee and in the House, Martin Carbaugh (R-Ft. Wayne) will chair the Insurance Committee.
