My name is Jessica Croquart. I am the President of the South Central Chapter and I am a Sr. Account Executive at SIHO Insurance Services working with our self-funded clients.
What was the best part about CapCon?
Being able to experience it virtually, for me, was a game changer. With my family, it would be nearly impossible for me to experience CapCon in-person until my children are much older. Being virtual allowed me to participate. However, I would love to experience it in person, when life allows.
What was something unexpected that you learned?
I was surprised how well-versed the legislators were, to be honest. I didn’t expect them to be as engaged and as knowledgeable as they were.
Why should other first timers consider this event in future years
Honestly, the legislative component of this industry has not interested me in the past, but I have found myself researching more and wanting to become more engaged. I think CapCon has only fueled that fire and I will continue to become more passionate about it. For anyone else who, like me, wasn’t interested in the past – just do it. You might find yourself more interested and passionate than you thought.
