Let’s talk enrollment season. As the insurance industry approaches what is sure to be its busiest renewal season ever, it is important to consider what that means for all of us. For some, it might mean longer hours in the office processing applications and paperwork , for others there could be seemingly endless days on the road doing employee meetings, yet still for others it might mean a flood of requests for proposal that all need to be prioritized, delegated, and completed. It really is a hectic time.
However, it’s also a time when the little things go a long way. Taking a moment to call a client instead of sending them a terse email, dropping a thank you card in the mail, or buying lunch for a business partner are all great ways to show others that you’re not too busy for them. It’s that extra bit of care that can lead us to even bigger successes in the future.
Likewise, NAHU and each local chapter should be spending just a little extra time on their members. If you’re on the board at your chapter maybe you might want to have a thank you lunch for your members, or maybe you just want to send everyone a peppy email to keep them going. Whatever it is, it will make a difference, and the difference you make will be felt around our industry, hopefully making enrollment season just a little bit easier!
Good luck with your preparations!
