Chris Hartmann, reporting via NAHU:
Today, HHS announced the start of window shopping for OE4 and ASPE released a landscape issue brief analyzing health plan data in the individual market focusing on the states that use the HealthCare.gov Marketplace platform.
“Thanks to financial assistance, most Marketplace consumers this year will find plan options with premiums between $50 and $100 per month,” said HHS Secretary Sylvia M. Burwell. “Millions of uninsured Americans qualify for financial assistance, and so could as many as 2.5 million Americans currently paying full price for off-Marketplace coverage. I encourage anyone who might need 2017 coverage to visit HealthCare.gov and check out this year’s options for yourself.”
We also released the plan year (PY) 2017 Health Insurance Marketplace PUFs. These datasets contain data on certified Qualified Health Plans (QHPs) and Stand-alone Dental Plans (SADPs) from states with a Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFM), State Partnership Marketplace (SPM) and State-based Marketplaces that rely on the HealthCare.gov platform for QHP eligibility and enrollment functionality (SBM-FP). Eight files make up the Marketplace PUFs: (1) Benefits and Cost Sharing PUF, (2) Plan Attributes PUF, (3) Rate PUF, (4) Business Rules PUF, (5) Service Area PUF, (6) Network PUF, (7) Plan ID Crosswalk PUF, and (8) Machine-readable PUF (MR-PUF).
Finally, we are releasing the Qualified Health Plan (QHP) Landscape for 2017 that displays the available QHPs and Standalone Dental Plans (SADPs) by county in the Health Insurance Marketplace. There are four types of QHP Landscape files available today: (1) individual medical marketplace; (2) SHOP medical marketplace; (3) individual dental marketplace; and (4) SHOP dental marketplace. The QHP Landscape provides consumers in the Federally-facilitated Marketplace (FFMs) and State Partnership Marketplace (SPM) states a snapshot of the plans available to them as well as basic information associated with each plan, including estimated premium for selected scenarios and cost-sharing data for selected services. QHP Landscape files were also created for each state that has a State-based Marketplace that uses the HealthCare.gov eligibility and enrollment platform for 2017 (SBM-FP).
