Greetings to our fellow Indiana State members. Earlier this month, July 5th, Evansville had the honor of having the highest heat index in the country! It’s been extremely hot and humid in the Southern part of our great state. SWIAHU was on fire at Nationals where we won the Pacesetter award and tiny chapter Membership Retention Award, on top of our Gold Certified status awarded by NAHU. The Pacesetter award distinguishes SWIAHU as a vibrant organization with an active and engaged membership. Thank you to our awards chair, Carolyn Beck, for compiling and submitting our criteria.
SWIAHU had a great meeting June 16that HRI with Susan Rider and Mike Miles from Gregory and Appel where they presented their Alternative Funding power point. They had a lively presentation peppered with real stories and examples that we can all relate to. A very special thank you to Pam Burns from United Claim Solutions for sponsoring the meeting and providing a $100 gift card give away.
You won’t want to miss our next meeting August 28that the Southern Indiana Career and Technical Center for a ½ day Medicare Summit. Registration starts at 7 am and is filled with various speakers and 4.5 hours of CE. Also, our annual golf outing is scheduled for September 13th. You can register at www.swiahu.org.
