A legacy of local, state, and national leadership
Nearly every year for the past three decades, a new Board of Directors takes charge of ISAHU. The same thing happens at NAHU and many dozens of local chapters across Indiana and the US.
The National Association of Health Underwriters has existed for over 100 years. Closer to home and prior to 1990, only Indianapolis AHU existed within Indiana. Then, ISAHU formed a state chapter that encompassed the entire state. Slowly, local chapters have covered the state including Northeast Indiana, South Central Indiana, Southwest Indiana, Greater Northern, Greater Bloomington, and Northwest Indiana.
The people who serve on our board and the boards of local chapters have made a significant impact, often without thanks and without much notice. They are all volunteers, all ready to serve, and all have made Health Underwriters a better Association.
Scroll below to find a list of past ISAHU presidents. Presidents typically serve one term, though some have served two consecutively or independently. And their terms begin a year prior to that as President-Elect, followed by a third year as Immediate Past President.
Our thanks goes out to the dedication of these wonderful leaders, many of whom in the early years of our Association served far above the call of duty to grow this organization that has helped us all learn more, teach more, do more, and serve more for each other and our customers.
